I ordered this thermometer after getting tired of purchasing so many covers for my ear thermometer ($6/40 & I’ve gone through A LOT since the pandemic). I found this particular thermometer to be reasonably priced & I really like the simplicity/ ease of use (there aren’t10 million buttons all over it and it isn’t bulky). If you’re scanning too far from your head or move it away too quickly it WILL read low, but if you hold it for 2secs about an inch from your head, the reading is accurate. The design is sleek, the thermometer is light weight, AND it came with batteries and a convenient little carrying bag… Definitely about to go browse the other items they have for some other nice bargains lol

My wife and son are both NHS workers and in these challenging times, it is important that they can monitor their own health on a daily basis. This infra-red thermometer will help to support that process.
A consultant at my wife’s hospital told her to ensure that any potential purchased item had a CE approval marking and when my wife showed him the Ankovo thermometer, he was impressed with the quality and the accuracy.
The user manual booklet is very easy to understand and the thermometer is very simple and practical to use.
The carry pouch is a useful accessory to keep the item clean
And Ankovo extend the warranty to 24 months upon registration (sending an email with the order number)
There are hundreds of thermometers out there, across a range of prices, but this one ticks many boxes, especially on value for money , accuracy of results and ease of use.

We got this thermometer because we have to measure our kids temperature before school each day and we did not trust the accuracy of the old one. This one has a German sensor in it and after using it, we found it to be highly accurate. We could also measure object temperatures within range as well. I like the ability to mute the beeps if you want. It is also light weight compared to our other one and has a sleeker design. It will make the daily temp checks for school a breeze!

This ergonominc infrared thermometer works very good for getting a fast, accurate temperature for people. The user guide is pretty well written and understandable.
I tested it against an old but accurate under-tounge mercury thermemoter, and an older digital thermometer and it matched their readings closely (occasionally the 3 thermometers gave the exact same reading). The device auto powers-off after about 15 seconds. The background color of the screen is green if you have no fever, and will change to yellow (or red) if you are running a fever.
The thermometer will normally only read temps of people (>90F and < 110F). But if you press the ”MEM” button for 3 seconds, it will switch to a ”general” temperature probe that can measure higher & lower temperatures. Unfortunately this setting does not ”stick” and the device will revert back to ”people mode” after it auto powers-off. So it is not as useful as a general-purpose infrared temp. probe.
I found that when it is in ”general” mode, it did not give very accurate forehead readings, which seemed odd. But it did appear to give pretty accurate readings when compared to another general-purpose infrared thermemoter I have.
It is possible to calibrate the thermometer (fine-tune an offset temp adjustment), but I did not have to do this for my unit.
Overall it is great infrared thermometer for checking people’s temps.
